Steps to fix the problem of “installation still in progress” in Rainbow Six Siege

Some of the players on gaming console PS4 have recently reported an issue when attempting to play the game Rainbow Six Siege from a disc which makes them completely unable to join a particular match when in the menu. When trying to join a particular match, they are presented with an error message saying installation still in progress.
While the file reports are thankfully not that common, the problem has occurred more frequently in the past and will likely still occur for all the players of the PS4 console, which is understandably frustrating and irritating. Ubisoft company has not yet addressed the problem, and all the players are taking to the forums threads in order to help one another. Here is what we have so far in terms of a valid and working solution.
It appears that the only viable bug fixes are to reinstall and uninstall the game or be lucky enough to have the problem happen during a free weekend of Rainbow Six Siege.
For the uninstall/reinstall method, the directions are quite simple. Ensure that your game disc is not in the PS4 console, uninstall the game, then insert the disc of the game to initiate a fresh installation.
If you are lucky enough to have the installation bug during a free weekend, you can remove your disc of the game, uninstall the game, download the absolutely free trial, and then pop in your disc after the download is fully complete. The game Rainbow Six Siege should stay completely unlocked as long as the disc of the game is in the gaming console.
Players should note carefully, however, the trial version of Rainbow Six Siege is only available during free periods of the weekend, which only come around every once in a while.
Ubisoft company may choose not to address the problems, as it has been around for several years and can be caused by the player issue. Sometimes the problem is triggered by players attempting to play the game while content is updating steadily in the background, and other times it may be that the disc of the game is corrupted in some way. In some cases, it may be that there is not enough available storage on your PS4 console.
These types of problems are difficult to address given the number of variables. If you are still having troubles related to this, we would advise you to contact the Ubisoft company for further help .
